A few geese - finally!

It has been a slow waterfowl year so far around here. Went out this morning with my son, my brother and nephew. It was a slow start and then the geese finally started coming, no big honkers, but any goose is good in my book. The shooting wasn't stellar on our part, but in the end it was a good day. We ended just three birds short of a limit.

Days like those are fun. It may start out slow, but like I tell my son..."it only takes another 5 minutes and it could mean the difference from a so-so day, to an day you`ll never forget!" Congrats on a good hunt!

Congrats on the short necks. I hate those little cackling bastages, they come off in flocks of 300 and are a PITA to get into the deeks.

I get pretty jealous sometimes seeing your pics of the big honkers, we get some big birds around here and when we do it's a real treat, but this area has lots of small geese, oh well better than pigeons or crows I guess.
