9/11 Lest we forget

Todd Beamer and Mark Bingham who helped storm the cockpit of flight 93 and crash it in Pennsylvania were alumni of Los Gatos High where my son goes to school. Last night at the game to commemorate the anniversary they got an F-15 fly over.

I just had a conversation with my 13 year old great nephew. He wanted to talk about 9/11. Seems like several of his teachers discussed 9/11 at school at length this past week. I was VERY happy to hear that !!!

My kid's elementary school has all the students wear red, white, or blue and the teachers do a good job talking about it with them.

The intent to rewrite history to portray a different narrative is always at work. From statutes, food products labels, WWII atom bomb use, and every military action ever taken. Truth cannot be rewritten to satisfy a false narrative. We must stay vigilant to protect history as it unfolded whether we agree with the reality or not.

I stood at the impact location of Flight 93 before there was a memorial built. The scar on the land was horrific and that sight will forever be etched in my memory knowing how many Americans died at that spot.
