I drew the antelope tag for south of havre and chinook. I have bird hunted up there quite a bit and have some pretty decent access both private and public to hunt speed goats this year. For some reason I have never really paid attention to the antelope up there while bird hunting so I was wondering if anyone of you all in the know could tell me how big of bucks should I expect to see on avetage in this unit. Thanks

I used to hunt 690 a lot back in the late 80's-late 90's.

At that time I had access to a large portion of the unit for elk, deer, and pronghorn. I've heard access is much tighter now due to leasing, out of state landowners, etc.

As far as size of the bucks? It really varied a lot from year to year depending on the winter. Populations seemed to vary a lot too IME. On a good year, upper 70's would be a good one. Other years, even mid-70's was tough to find.

Some from 690:

My wifes first ever big-game animal was a pronghorn from 690:
