I took this photograph a few years ago in Helena Montana. It was a completely random moment, but I really like how it turned out. I call it my 4th of July photograph. So here's to wishing everyone a happy and safe 4th of July.

My 4th almost ended in disaster as we were out for a drive to pick up some peaches in SC when a mature doe and a yearling shot across the road just feet in front of my car. That little Honda has already collected a bobcat and a Jeep Cherokee in it's lifetime, and I want no deer in my lap.
