Well I think my elk hunting plans fell through for the year so I’m moving this along to fund another project if you can imagine that. It’s a Remington AWR 338 win mag. I’ve bedded it and installed a trigger tech trigger. Gun has been shot 86 times. Have settled on a 213 grain hammer hunter at 3045fps. Only flaw is when I bedded it I never cleaned up on the edge of the stock shown in picture. If you’d like I can clean it up. Looking for $975 bare gun with rcbs FL dies, 213 grain hammer hunters, and 25 norma brass or $1500 for gun, dies, brass, bullets, Talley’s, and leupold vx3i 4.5-14x40 30mm side focus with cds dial setup for the 213 grain hammers.

Trades looking for Remington magnum long action stainless and McMillan edge fill stocks with sendero contours

Anyone want to take a Ruger #1 in .338 off my hands so I can take this gun off Brockel's hands? I wasn't completely joking when I call dibs. I just hadn't anticipated my comments about this gun being boring to inspire you to move on so quickly. :)

$1425 get it moving your way?

It takes some stones to sit in there behind magnum rifles of that weight and lay down groups like those. Nice shooting.

No doubt here. I have the virtually the same rifle and I have a hard time getting the third shot off without flinching. I've started bringing a .22 or .223 and alternating between them so that I can trick my mind away from flinching.

Great rifle, if I wasn't already setup I'd be sending a PM.

Damn I just bought tires otherwise I'd be all over this with money I really don't have  . It does speak to how well these AWR rifles shoot with little or no work. Definitely worth looking into getting a break because ouch!

Recoil is actually a lot less than I was expecting. 250 grain gets your attention a little more.

It actually likes 250 grain Bergers really well but have only shot one group with them. Didn’t want to post a picture of the group as Id probably get called a liar. If it doesn’t sell or get parted out by the weekend I’ll load a couple 250 Bergers and shoot a group and post it
