Xena?!!Dang! you better start shopping.
My D-I-L shoots a 338/378.
It is death in a black wrapper.
She loves it and uses it for EVERY thing.
I shoot one. It’s a very fun caliber. I replaced the factory weatherby brake with a MBM beast and it’s a lot better now. Pushes 230gr Berger’s pretty fast also.
The recoil isn’t that bad actually. The new muzzlebrake designs are IMO much better than the old radial style. They don’t blow dust everywhere and with angled port the rifle recoil into the shooter very efficiently.Bless me, never heard it described as a fun caliber. Thou art a tougher man than I. I guess these days these new muzzle brakes make a lot of difference. A friend took one on his first and only African safari. His Professional Hunter made him take the muzzle brake off and after several Weatherby kisses He came home for repairs. Kindest Regards.
I have 1 1/2 boxes of ammo for a gun I don’t have.
That's almost 1/2 way to an antelope tag in WY!Just sell it. I think they are around $8 a shot.
I’m going to get some pics taken and sell it.Just sell it. I think they are around $8 a shot.
It is definitely for a guy with a bull and a cow tag.....just line them up...2’ferThe 300 wby (left) is not a small case....

Looked at the .30-378 when it came out. Not a big Weatherby fan. Besides, in hunting length barrels, the RUM runs right with it anyway. mtmuleyIf we could get Mtmuley away from his RUM, he'd probably own 3 right now.
