280 vs 7mag

I compromised and bought a 25 - 06 today

A 25-06 is a great caliber but i much prefer my 280. I handload and I've had great success with my rifle. I used to have a 7 Mag and I don't miss it.

I have the 280 and the 25-06 both .Both in Browning Stainless Stalker.It will br next spring before I can really tell what I like better. The weather here is terrible right now for going to the range.

What shootbrownelk said! Go with 280 AI and use up to 160 grain bullets and it will be fine!

However, the 280 is fine as it is. The 3 most important factors are 1) shot placement; 2) shot placement and 3) shot placement! Dead is dead, 280 or 7mm Mag won't make much difference.
