I also have a Ruger Single Six with both .22lr and 22 magnum cylinders. It is great fun to shoot and very cheap to shoot.

Strip the back straps and hind quarters off those rabbits and pressure cook the meat off of the bones. They make great enchiladas etc.

For other revolver consideration, Ruger makes a Single 9 now! holds 9 rounds of 22 LR, but no 22 magnum cylinder option for it....

I've never been brave enough to eat a jackrabbit. I skinned one once and the meat is so dark it is almost purple. Any of you guys ever eat a jackrabbit?

I thought I might try jack rabbit until I read the reccipe by Hank Shaw and he said the meat is "undeniably gamey". I've tried to disguise a gamey rutty mule deer before and no matter what you do it's just nasty.
I'll just keep using them for target practice.
