Ended for the best actually. I posted it on Facebook where he was quickly identified. Reached out to him. The response was what it should have been from a decent human. No excuses. Complete ownership. Turns out he had a pretty good excuse which he didnt use. I heard from others. Owner gave him permission. Owner didnt tell him I leased it. I didnt post it yet. He had no idea. Every once in a while you meet a good dude.

I saw two different bucks around the Fox Valley area still holding both sides just this past weekend. Seems very late for that.

I saw two different bucks around the Fox Valley area still holding both sides just this past weekend. Seems very late for that.

I typically get one or two that hold till the first week of April, around the farm. Had one hold till mid May, several years back.

Exploring a possible new hunting spot found a small 3 point shed , the thing that makes this shed unique is the fork isn’t over the top of the other point they’re parallel with each other, which is something I’ve personally never seen on a deer before.

Back at the truck , when I looked at it closer, I realize the fork was parallel, so had you been hunting and looked at that deer looking at you. You would’ve thought it was a two point. Cool small buck shed

Shed is 2-3 years old, wonder if this buck is still alive and kicking, curious to see if he still has that parallel fork on his front , he should be a decent buck by now if he’s still around

just by looking at the picture, I would estimate at least four years old and probably a bit older.

I glassed this dead bull up from the road in Jan. Had shed one antler and the other was still attached weakly to the skull. The antler popped right off with a little persuasion.
Best find of the year so far. Found quite a few whitetail antlers but the best set is under 140.

looking like the Elk are starting to drop we are starting to find some in the low country gonna get in the high country this weekend.
