Anyone found sheds yet?
I've only found two small ones and still getting lots of pics of bucks carrying their antlers.

Met up with a buddy at hunting camp / cabin last weekend. He happened to get there just a few minutes ahead of me and spotted a beautiful matched set 125ish 5x5.
It was laying in the tall grass not 40' from the corner of the cabin and they were two feet apart.

This is what I’ve found so far. Not really putting a lot of effort into it yet because as you are seeing. Still some of the better bucks haven’t shed yet.

I’ve found 4. 2 of them have been in this little patch of newly seeded alfalfa that’s but they weren’t matched. Both of them were in close proximity to the road so maybe someone found the other sides already.

Whitetails here in western MT still holding as of this weekend - at least some bucks I saw

I’m at two with zero days looking. One whitetail shed from the road and a mule deer shed along my parents driveway that’s been on the ground for a year

Went yesterday afternoon on a quick loop through some bedding areas. Zero sheds found and ever cam pic of bucks I'm getting are still packing headgear. Hopefully they start dropping soon here

Up to 14 or 15 so far. All but 2 have been out in bean fields. Really haven't put much time into walking the woods yet

neighbor found both sides of a big neighborhood buck, one allegedly scored 84 but i am somewhat skeptical as i think he is not quite that big. i will see it tonight.

my boys have found about 10. biggest was 67. i found a beautiful matched pair last fall that were 73 and 74.

Ours dropped really early this year. Late Dec into January. By end of January, they were all dropped except a very few. We scouted lots of deer (like a thousand or more) Feb 1/2 and saw exactly 3 bucks with headgear and one of them only had 1. Pretty early for here.

My 11 year old nephew and my dad took a short walk from dad’s house yesterday and somehow my nephew spotted a fresh shed from around a couple hundred without binos. My dad saw the buck a few days earlier with just the side they found. I’m sure the other is around the house somewhere

I feel like there is no rhyme or reason as to when whitetail shed in Montana. I've found fresh sheds in late December and seen big bucks packing still in mid-April. Found a couple so far but most still have their headgear.

measured the neighborhood buck tonight. 81 and 71. Beautiful. We should get to watch him all summer I hope!
