I might change my mind on Iowa vs Oklahoma state. There is a path for Iowa to win. Some of the match results need to change, but I don’t think any of them are big asks. But it seems week to week it’s a question of which team will show up.

125. Peterson vs spratley - Peterson won in the National duals and needs to do the same.
133 Ayala vs Forrest - most anticipated match of the weekend. Forrest had a good come from behind victory last week vs a top 10 wrestler. In the national duals Ayala won but it wasn’t Forrest. Forrest by decision
141 Bailey vs Vega - last match this went to overtime. If it’s Bailey it goes to the wire, if it’s Peterson for Iowa it’s probably bonus points.
149 block vs swiderski - block was different in the first half of the season. But hopefully he can find something again. He needs to win.
157 Williams vs robideau - they didn’t wrestle the first dual and robideau got a major. If Williams keeps it to a decision it’s a win for the hawks.
165 Caliendo vs Lockett - Caliendo needs to reverse the outcome for the team and for himself. Caliendo by decision.
174 Kennedy vs facundo - I’ll expect another overtime victory for Kennedy.
184 - Ferrari vs Ryder - we need Ferrari back at 184 so Arnold could go 197. Either way, Iowa could win by decision.
197 Arnold vs Merrill - Arnold could win this. If I was coach and solely wanted to win the dual I’d consider bumping Ferrari up and Ferrari wrestling here. If Ferrari or Arnold wrestle Iowa wins. If ludington or Sampson wrestle Oklahoma state will get bonus points.
Hwt- Kueter vs doucet Iowa forfeited at the national duals so anything less then 6 team points is better for the hawks. Kueter will win though and that’s a 9 point swing.

21-9 Iowa.

It’s probably a pipe dream that it goes perfectly for Iowa but the way these two match up it could easily be 21-9 Oklahoma state as well.

I’m being a homer for sure. But if Iowa wrestles like they need to be wrestling for the last dual of the year then they will be just fine.

It could be a matter of where the meet starts at.

Kale Peterson had a new arm sleeve tattoo last week. Dean Peterson comes out with pink hair this week. I don’t think wrestling is some of these guys primary focus right now.

I just don’t know how a wrestler can be behind both arms and have his hips on behind the other wrestler but they don’t have control.
