It's a weird cubed bonus point system that they call loyalty points.

Heads up there's a couple youth hunt codes that are currently not working. Just finished talking with a nice lady at tpdw and they're aware and working on correcting it.

Anybody know if the loyalty points expire? There’s a private lands hunt I’d like to apply for but can’t go this year even if I did draw. Didn’t find the answer in the FAQ. I realize if drawn your points zero out, but let’s say I have two points but don’t apply this year. Do I have two points next year?

Yes. I would assume you'll have two next year.

I don't want this to turn into a conversation about this, but 5 years ago I started putting in for them. I realized some of categories were high fence only and I don't want to do that. So I didn't send in for those again. I just checked and I have 1 point for those.

That is correct. Your points do not expire.

They have drawn the alligator hunts. I got drawn for the first gator hunt at J.D. Murfree WMA again!

My kid turns 8 after Sept 15th but before some of the youth hunts.
Can he/I apply for the 2025 youth hunts? I was looking at the TPWD pages, seems like I apply for him? Or do I have to create a new user under his name?

You need to create his own account and he will accumulate his own points. Cool thing is, the applications for the youth hunts are free.

He can only apply for the hunts that's draw deadline is after his birthday. If he's 8 before Nov 1st you can apply him for the exotic/turkey hunts. You'll have to create his own account like @Greybeard said.

THis year, my youth son and I have put in for all the crazy low draw odds hunts. We actually don't want to draw because he drew an AZ elk tag..... between that and the deer lease we don't have much more time unless it's something truly special
