@Mudranger1 you seem to have his hands.
Congratulations to him, good on ya for the pack mule death march, and hopefully many fun years of Sherpa-ing in your future.

Great job guys. That’s awesome. We went for our annual week long elk pilgrimage last week. I was meeting my Dad(74) and Uncle(68) after I worked Saturday morning. I get to camp and my Dad has set off at some point in the day already and I catch up with my Uncle for about an hour before setting out to find my Dad. Around 530 I locate my Dad in the only spot he goes to and he has already shot an elk (his first). He said he had been there at most 30 minutes when he heard a bull groan coming down the mountain towards him. He said he let out another and was 10 ft from him before he saw him but he was ready and shot him. We found the bull, took some pictures and started the break down. Got done around 10:40pm and headed the 3 miles out. It's honestly time for him to retire this type of hunting but he refuses. He also refuses to get in better shape. I take a front shoulder the back straps, tenderloins and some loose meat and he takes himself. Sunrise we get to the camper
Two great friends coming to the rescue to help pack and show up 15-30 minutes after we get back so off I go again. 30 hours straight of being awake is a little much for this old man. We stopped for a break about a mile from camp where I fell asleep...not knowing what happened I'm like how long was i asleep.. laughing at me they said it was only like 5 minutes. The rest of the week I chased Big Bob around the mountain. A monster of a bull who I called in to shooting distance twice needing only two more steps probably each time as I was already at full draw. Pretty epic week but frustrating at the same time being so close (I was probably within 100 yards of him at least once every day) and not being able to catch that break. Came home sore and tired just as I should be. Thanks for reading.
