2025 Colorado Bighorn Sheep Hunt

I have it in me, but guide is saying that isn’t the right play. To make a play on him where is at now would be tricky. He just dropped his head and does not look like he is doing very well. We are hoping to find him still there in the morning with the whole day to make a safe play on him.

This is the right call imo. I bet you find him dead right there tomorrow am.

i know he’s a long ways off, but any sign of where he is hit?

He went 400 yards after you guys trailing around all day. You clipped something this is far from ideal but I highly doubt that ram moves if he isn’t dead in the morning he will be that much more likely to let you kill him. I’d definitely keep that dog out of there till this plays out

I've seen crazy stuff where jackets shed off of bullets and do damage, even on an off shot. My dall sheep had jacket in his hindquarter after a dead broadside behind the shoulder shot. I'm anxious to see where he's hit, and if that happened here.

Awesome!! Way to stay after it and keep a level head through all of that!

That’s good news, Nathan. I bet he’s dead in the morning. So glad you found him. Nice ram for that area!
