Oregon fans needed more motivation? ;). Too bad the stadium is so small. Probably more people would want to see that game. I wonder if they've considered an expansion or upper deck.
They did an add-on at the end of 2000 on the south side for 2001 and I can’t remember how many more seats that added

They now sell standing room only for the north side as there basically a 2 lane blacktop road along the top on that side that allows a lot more people IMG_0920.jpeg
There’s a small concrete wall along that side about waist high allows a good view

I just got an email yesterday from the university saying there’s still some standing room seats left for the Indiana game

Also, because of how it was built into a hill, it doesn’t allow the sound to escape. I think the university doesn’t wanna mess too much more with the architecture because it traps the sound and another expansion might mess that up. I don’t know if that’s true but it’s one of the things people talk about.

@jimh406 here’s a better view of the design and to get into the stadium as a fan. You actually have to walk up the switchbacks to get to the top of the hill and then you go down into the hole they created for the seating. They removed some of the hill on the addition side, and then underneath those bleachers is concessions and all kinds of stuff and some people actually thought the stadium was louder before they added the seats when they removed part of the hill for the addition

Sorry I missed the capacity.
Big 10 is known for 80 to 110,000.
Looks like the 2 end zones area can be upgraded.
Penn State stadium is knick named the
Erector Set Stadium, the construction workers named it. It's made Mostly out of steel I- beams. When they want to add on they order more I-beams..šŸ¤£šŸ˜
I worked on the campus doing electrical construction for a few years. If you can get pictures of the outside, it is very interesting looking.
Bye the way CONGRATULATIONS to the Ducks. It's not easy to win there. šŸ‘

The Ducks stadium is officially listed at 54,000 but they get over 59k with standing room, but even though it’s half the size of the big stadiums because when they were looking to save money way back in the day, oh there’s a big hill. We should just dig it out and build a stadium in there and by accident it was discovered it traps the crowd noise it’s been recorded over 127 decibels during games

I was at the 2003 Michigan @ Oregon game one oh my most favorite memories, Loyd Carr gave the ducks a quote we still talk about…….

Also shout out to Bama and Kalen Debour for the win at Georgia! I was having fun at chaos of the FSU loss to start the season , but that guy can coach , Lanning never beat Debour
0-3 when he was at Washington in 22 & 23 ….. was happy to see him leave when the Ducks went to the B1G along with Washington

University Oregon media has released the week 5 recap vs Penn St , amazing behind the scenes cinematic video of the game and how Oregon prepares for a big game, Oregon started doing this a few years ago and there media team keeps getting better, one of the main reason they do it is so the guys their recruiting can see and feel what it’s like to be a Duck and create that visual for the players who might be thinking about joining the team

Nephew's son, Boen Phelps, was defensive player of the week for Boise State Broncos, after intercepting Appalachian State pass and running for touchdown. He will be fun to watch today as Boise State takes on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.

Then Montana State Bobcats visit Northern Arizona in Flagstaff for a duel between two highly ranked teams.

Later University of Montana Grizzlies play the Idaho Bengals in another good game. 'Hoping to see a recently introduced Grizzlie Native American player from Blackfeet Nation Browning, Montana, who is an exciting athletic running back aptly named Tommy Running Rabbit.

Yep, great college football all over the country today. Enjoy.
