Does Kalen DeBour finish the season as Alabama’s head coach ?

He’s a good Coach, and firing coaches mid-season in college is rare. If he tanks, it’ll be at the end of the year. I despise Alabama so… They’re the Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, Duke of College Basketball.

I read his contract is too big to fire him this early into the contract.
I'm not sure what the fanbase's loss threshold is, but if Bama hits it this year, they will mortgage everything they own to get rid of him - especially if another hot coach emerges. Alabama fans are not tolerant of losing, but they absolutely will not stand for getting embarrassed. There's a real risk in predicting how a season will go based on the first game, but if the Alabama we saw on Saturday is the Alabama that we see for most of this year, there is some embarrassment ahead of them on the schedule.

Only week one. Lots of season left to go. I remain completely undecided on any teams prospects at this point in the season. Just glad to be watching football again, heading up to Happy Valley on Saturday for what's looking like a warm one at Beaver.

I added a poll !!!! Ha ha
I don't think he'll be fired mid-season, but if they don't run the tables and make the playoffs, he is done.

I like DeBoer and he's a good coach, but turning around a couple smaller schools and catching fire for a season at Washington is a completely different animal than coaching at Alabama and going against an SEC schedule. Also, doesn't help he's the direct successor to the greatest college coach ever.

The best job in country - bar none - is being a fired college football coach.
Nebraska is a dumpster fire every year, they pay coaches 6-7-8 million a year, then fire them and pay them 4-5 years for nothing. I say they should hire me for 1 million a year on a 10 year contract, I can coach a bad team for a few years, they fire me, I get the rest of my contract, they save millions a year. It’s a win win.

I loved everything about last night's game except the fact that TCU didn't score about 4-5 more TDs. :ROFLMAO:
UNC looked slow everywhere, no separation at WR , O line can’t push people off the ball …… bad QB play ……
With Belichick at 78 you gotta really want it cause it takes a lot of time and energy and want to to turn a college football team around and to get all the right kids that are big strong and fast on campus. not rooting for him. not rooting against him, but I’m just like after what I saw last night yeah I don’t know if that old man’s gonna have the patience to deal with this rebuild. And unlike the NFL there’s three times as many teams and coaches all fighting to get to nine or 10 win seasons …. And I don’t know if this team can win six and go to a ball game.

Stay tuned !!!
