There are some fishing accesses that you can also hunt if you have a muzzleloader. May have killed a whitetail like that once on that side of the state.
1st world problem. To hunt deer or elk.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions and help. Thought I'd give a run down on the last weekend of my Montana hunting season. 1st off did not kill an elk or deer but had a blast. I thoroughly enjoyed spending all day outdoors and in wild places. With the shorter days I felt I had to be hunting all day. No naps ☹. Put alot of miles on the boots. With how warm it was, that last weekend of the hunt, the only action we saw was very early or the last hour of the day. No elk were moving but did see some decent bucks just never could connect. Once again very grateful for the recommendations and encouragement from Hunttalkers. Oh I did have Thanksgiving dinner at "The Montana Club". It was really good. Thanks again and Happy Holidays to all. The last picture was a payphone at the Big Hole National Battlefield Monument. The kids had never seen one.
