i'm a big muley fan but after hunting elk and deer for 18 days i never saw a nice muley or anything i'd even shoot.
we got all the elk but the monster muley evaided me.
friday i took jessy after elk and saw 20 but she didn't get a shot.saterday and sunday i went deer hunting in the black hills. saterday i saw one shooter but held off looking for something more. sunday i took this buck out os several bucks i saw.

i thought he would beat my 02 buck but after getting home he is a couple inches shy.If he hadn't broken that g4 he would have been real close.

i want something bigger then mounts i allready have so i guess i blew it.i'd still shoot him tommarrow given the chance

I hear your pain on the muley hunting this year hunted 17 days (hard hunting) passed on 73 bucks never even saw someingthing to get my blood pumping hard, so I also to ok a trip up north a filled a tag ( 5x5) nothing like that hog you smoked congrats!!! on that buckhump

Great looking Black Hills buck! I've been doing short local hunts on the SD side.

My wide 4x4 that I've been watching for the past month was killed by someone else Saturday morning.....Drat! Have another 3 weeks to find a good one.

if i would have gotten it with my bow i would do a head mount.
with my 243 deer don't have a chance. if he had out done the 02 buck he would be going on the wall also. i'm glad it was a deer enstead of a coyote i misjudged the distance and hit him in the spine a coyote i would have missed.
i had dialed my scope down while in the timber then out in the open at 350 yrds i thought the buck was alot farther out then he was. it dumpped him in his tracks but i wasn't happy with the shot. took out a big chunk of backstrap.

put the tape to him today he grosses 135 1/8 and nets 125 6/8 he had more growng to do to catch that 02 buck than i thought.
i'm not after the score i'm after beating my own best bucks.
