    Big country, a lot a lot of hunters and yes there are elk in there. Get up and get away from ppl and road access you should do just fine.

    We do have ticks but usually at lower levels in the sage they can get bad. Never really see any after aug-sept. Maybe on an elk or deer but I only get them when I am by creeks, lakes and lower elevation. Rifle hunting no ticks. Archery maybe a couple

    Good luck there are definitely animals all around. All the elk will be up higher for the most part. Get up high away from any road access (atv,utv,etc.) you should have no problem filling a tag or two. There are a lot***** of utv's/ atv's around mccall
