    US Made Sleeping Bags

Thanks for the guidance fellas, got information overload for a while. Settled on an enlightened equipment convert, half bag half quilt. I’m a hot sleeper who moves a lot, figured it would be a good compromise with out going all in on the quilt.

    US Made Sleeping Bags

I'm looking to pick up a new bag for a September Elk in Wyoming and would like to find on that is made in the USA. I have always been an advocate for buying homegrown, but even more so after the last year. With that being said, I would like something that is rated down to 0-10 degrees and...

    Wyoming deadline question

Simple question that borders on stupid question. Deadline for WY non resident elk tag is 2/1 at midnight. Does that mean Sunday night or Monday night this year? To me midnight is the next day, therefore tomorrow (Sunday) night. I only ask because I left some files at work that would mike life...

    Need a new spotting scope

Sorry to Hi-jack your thread but I have been in the same boat and almost pulled The trigger on a few used spotters recently, most of them Vortex. I think I’m sold on holding off for a Swaro but would like to use some low end spotters out to figure out if I want a straight on angled. Any...

    Drop Camp/ Semi-guided Advice

Looking to find a good outfitter to do a drop camp or semi-guided hunt, hopefully for next season. Some of my buddies are intimidated to do a complete DIY hunt, I also am trying to get my Dad (70 years old) his first elk so any help I can get is a plus. I have done a good number of research...

Ask Your Muzzleloader Questions Here - Thanks to CVA

Hi, I have a CVA Accura V2, I shoot BH 209 w/ Barnes 290 Gr TEZ and Winchester Standard Shotshell primers. I changed the breech plug over to the BH 209 one, but I am having some fitment issues with the primers being a little loose. The gun shoots great, but the primers are excessively dirty...

    Muzzleloader Help

I assume the o-rings go in the pocket and then the primer? Therefore pushing the primer outward slightly? I’ll mic this tomorrow and order some, seems easy enough. Thanks.

    Muzzleloader Help

Thanks for all the help guys. I went with the CVA Accura V2 w/ 100 grains (by volume to start) of BH 209 coupled with a 290 Barnes TEZ Sabot. It is shooting great but I am noticing some blow back on the breech plug. I am using W209 primers by Winchester w/ the CVA Black Horn breech plug. The...

    Muzzleloader Help

Thanks guys, it came down to CVA and knight, I really liked the knights but being blessed with fingers that resemble sausage links I opted for the CVA with the ease of access to the breach plug. Any recommendations on loads? I plan on using blackhorn 209 for my powder.

    Muzzleloader Help

Thanks. I may pick up a CVA Accura V2, 30” Barrel with the cerakote. Checked one out in the store today and it seems like it will work nicely.

    Muzzleloader Help

Information overload on my research and struggling to make a decision. Looking to buy a new muzzleloader, will mostly be used for eastern whitetails but would like it to double out west as well. My only real requirement is the hand removable breech plug and something I can take a scope on and...

Picking Brains on Idaho's Selway zone -10 day Early October Hunt!

It is beautiful country with a ton of burns. I hunted the Eastern edge of 16A and the west side of 17 a few years back. There are ton of variables with weather and animal behavior you'll need to be prepared for. We had 70's one day and a foot of snow the next. The ATV's could be useful, but...

    OTC Ideas

Thanks guys, leaning towards the Oklahoma, Wisconsin and maybe Nebraska ideas. Idaho would be nice, but I don’t think we are willing to do that drive again this year.

    OTC Ideas

Thanks, I should of mentioned we would be driving out from NJ. I have looked at the California Black Tail trips before, logistically it is a nightmare to make that drive. I think Idaho is the farthest we would go West this year. Thanks.

    OTC Ideas

My father and I usually take one hunting trip West each year, sometimes North to Canada. We were going to skip this season due to some fall commitments we had, but with the Covid-19 lifestyle change our calendar has opened back up with the exception of the first 3 weeks of October. I was...
