I really like mine as well. Have been on one elk hunt and they worked great. Definite upgrade over my lower end Leupold I had been using.

I have the base layer bottoms. I just switched to merino wool base layers last year. I liked them better than the icebreaker and Patagonia tops I bought. Next purchase will be a black ovis top with hood for base layer gear. Hunted 3rd season CO last year with them with Sitka Timberline pants...

I got the Thompson/Center tang sight off of EBay about 10 years ago. The tang had to be drilled and tapped for it. Nice sight but looking at EBay now they seem to have gone up quite a bit.

Agree with above. I have a .54 that I put a tang site on. I have switched to Great Plains from Powerbelts as well. A nice light muzzleloader but mine is only a 100 yard gun for sure even with the tang sight.
