Archery hunt with rifle back up in griz country?
solids that will not expand or break apart. you want full body penetration to kill a grizzly bear and that may have to break the skull or a shoulder blade first. -

Montana elk
I did self guided elk in MT 2018 and few other years in past. The bear and wolfs have decimated the elk and deer herd in some western regions. I hunted region 1 & 2 and there were very few animals taken by human hunters this season... I do plan to go back in 2019 if draw again, but will go to... -

I have not found a set of shooting sticks than can handle the abuse I put hiking sticks through on a trip out west. I cary a full length telescoping tripod shooting sticks strapped to my pack. If I need the sticks to shoot, there will be time to get them out...- privateer

in Montana, I don't believe you pay anything unless you are drawn. I could be wrong, but if there is a "draw fee", I have yet to see that separately as I have been drawn every year I have put in... (and it would have to be so low that I did not care or I would play the wait game too...) -

Need help with 300 Magnums.
300 RUM as Remington makes the reduced power rounds for you if you don't handload and you want an alternative to full power rounds. Of course, I just run full power through mine all the time - Eastern deer don't notice the difference... -
