Hunting/Hiking Calories Burned
Every formula that I have found shows that a guy my size, 160 pounds, burns about 425 calories an hour of hiking. Deboning Elk in the field
I use the Outdoor Edge Razor Lite to gut and skin my animals in the field… but is there a more efficient knife that you guys are using to debone an elk out in the middle of nowhere? The razor lite is obviously sharp, but a little short when trying to cut through the hinds of en elk. Thanks! -

Elk Caliber for wife...
NOT a 7mm .08. We had a bull at 275 yards broadside, 162 grain lead with the 7mm .08, she hit the front shoulder. After a very, very long track. She got another shot at 80 yards, the bullet mushroomed on the initial rib hit and then without hitting any bone on the exit- didn't even make it... -
