Was wondering if anyone has tried Modern Spartan Systems cleaning kit. Testimonials talk about tighter shot groups made possible by using their cleaning kit.

For what it is worth being a fan of Cooper tires, I am using Cooper ATWs which are the latest upgrade from the AT3. The ATW has more siping and are deep treaded - they've been great on snow and ice !
Being in the construction business and accustomed to heavy loads they perform well up here in...
Rutting elk in RMNP
You might want to check Moraine Park, Horseshoe Park, Sheep Lakes and on the way up Trail Ridge Road just before descending down toward the West entrance. Of course it wouldn't be unusual to see them roaming in and around Estes Park. Good luck - just keep your eyes open...
The old reliable!
Once I didn't have a chance to reload as my work was overwhelming and hunting season was almost at hand. Mentioned it to a relative of mine and he suggested just go out and buy a box of Remington Core-Lokt. Took them out to the range and found they shot as good as my...
Should you have the time "get up in the mountains". A suggestion ,if you are able timewise, check this area out - a great experience with "real" wildlife !

Well Muskeez souinds like an adventurous trip to be sure. Hopefully you'll allow yourself to get a little acclimated before you start trekking as you are coming from low elevation.
Will be anxious to read about your mountain expedition here on Hunt Talk along with some photos !
Having lived in the area since '67 you could encounter snowfall up high should it rain down lower.so plan accordingly. Not knowing your trip plan, it would be wise to alert someone of your intentions and your proposed return date. Note that there are moose and bear around Crater Lake above...
Well for me, I started out with a 30-06 with very good results then went to a 7mm Remington magnum also getting very good results. The last elk, a very large 5 point bull, was killed at 400 yards with a 270 !
Did a survey amongst the old timers here in the valley plus several friends here in...
[FONT="Arial"]Seems it's become quite fashionable that long range hunting is the epitome of current hunting methodology ! Apparently fair chase is old hat ! Wondering what are your opinions?

Well joining in, I use my ole reliable 86 Toyota Xtra cab 22RE engine with 359,924 miles (original engine). Have an extra fuel tank (total 31 gallons), Warn winch, lights, 235 15" tires and always have double cross link V-bar chains for all four wheels. It's not a beauty body wise as it's...
For a rifle, it would probably be a 30-06 as it has the largest variety of ammo including sabot based. Most importantly though, I would prefer a firearm with IRON SIGHTS assuring myself of placing a shot THUS affording me extended use of the firearm !
Mule deer junkie,
You might want to check out a new Panasonic Lumix ZS40 as it's loaded with features - 18 megapixels, 30X LEICA zoom lens, HD video, GPS, NFC (links up to your smartphone), gyroscoptic balancing of your photos, and many others ! It will fit in your shirt pocket ...
Spotted these three rams digging through the snow for grass. Supposedly there's 12 -24 inches of the white stuff coming within 24-36 hours coupled with high winds ! Will be anxious to find them in a day or so to get more photos.
