MT school trust land question
I found a section I want to hunt but when I checked it with Google Earth I was surprised to see 3-4 ranches/farms in the section. Not sure how to proceed. I used a FS National Forest map and my GPS to verify that it is, in fact, school trust land. Not sure if I can legally access and hunt...- Hunts

Downloadable GPS maps needed-Montana
Went to GPSFileDepot and grabbed topos and land ownership. Keep hearing that Montana FWP and state of Montana have good maps for GPS as well(Garmin). Google searches, etc have not been very productive though. Would appreciate any links folks have to free maps for Garmin. Anything with Block... -
Anyone use peep sights?
I've decided to use peep sights this year on my 9.3x62mm. Even with a light scope it just felt too damn heavy. I use it in the timber for chasing elk and feel like I'm not giving up too much in range. Never seem to get a shot over 200 yards anyhow. I'll spend the summer practicing and see how... -
