$35.99/100 for the interbond, compared to $41.98 for 100 accu-bonds.
Of the two, the interbond will retain more weight...
Made a hell of a mess didn't it?
Here's Matt holding up what was left of the front wheel. It was blown 100 meters away from the humvee.
He was stationed at the Kandahar airport, he's in the 82nd airborne. Their mission was mostly convoy escort and back-up for the ANA,(Afghan National Army).
Zat you Ron? Been real fine, especially since my boy Matt got back from Afghanistan on 03-01-06! He's here on leave for 3 weeks, goes back to Bragg the middle of the week. The another 3 months, he's out for good. It's been good to see him, he escaped without a scratch!
Some close calls, like an...
There's a bit of a revolution going on over at the NAHC website! They up and changed the forums to include a sidebar with adds in it, also some long time regulars got banned for raising questions/complaints about the changes. I may be next.
Anyway, I see it's been a year and four months since...
Great Caliber
;)
I've had a Ruger M77 varmint in .280 for a lot of years. I always used the 140 BT in it, the bullet worked VERY well at 2650 fps. That's all I could get out of it because of the long throat. Ol' Bill was terrified of law suits from rifles blowing up, he had everything throated...
optional powder measure
Here's the solution to using extruded typw powders on a dillon. This is for my 650, but I'm quite sure it would work on a 550. It's available at midway or direct from Hornady. You can use the measure pictured or a RCBS also. I wouldn't try it with large charges of the...
John, PMC is good ammo. They've been in business for arround 20 years. They started out reloading other makes of ammo, now they own their own headstamps. The cases are boxer primed and of quite good quality IMHO.
WH, WORK? That's a lot of fun! I really enjoy experimenting, keeps things interesting.
I wish I could get a closer pic of the front of the mushroom on the accu-bonds. There seems to be two seperate cores, or different hardness in the core. Hard to explain but the core does not seem to be...
And the results are in------------well some of them anyway. I’ll call this my shake down cruise. LITERALLY! There is a bunch of energy being released when a bullet hits those jugs. The board I used to lay the jugs on started coming apart after the third hit. I ended up nearly breaking it in...
Geeze, look what happens when you leave the door unlocked. Oh well, I can ignore him on here as well as I can on the PC nahc board!
Jest kiddin Cam, I look forward to your imput,,,,--I think?
Any port in a storm huh guys?! I'm still deciding if I'll ever go back to that limey, politically correct BS on the nahc board. Howya doin moosie? Long time no post fer me huh? Did you get tired of giving swampy a hard time over on HA?
We'll see how many other refugees make it over here from...
elkHntinMD, unfortunately, there isn't much available for the 16 guage. I just looked in the BP cat., there's only 1 slug available for reloading. They call it their "dangerous" game slug. From the picture, it looks like it could take out a tank! $12.99/25 pack, might be worth investigating...
My pleasure, elky. I too have heard good reports about the lee drive key slug. I have a bunch of lee molds, so I wouldn't hesitate to try that system.
I tried back in the seventies to load slugs. I bought a lyman hollow base mold, handles and 25 lbs of pig lead,(dead soft pure lead). I then...
First to reply to your ? about where to get stuff. One place I know of is www.ballisticproducts.com They will have the roll crimper, slugs, sabots and even a reloading manual. Their website is very basic, but you can order a catalog that has all the stuff they sell. I've delt with them over the...
1 bad, I'm the guy Darren mentioned. I have been using surplus popwder from gibrass.com and hitech for over 5 years. www.hi-techammo.com
As to your question concerning WC820, I and others have found this particular powder is slightly faster burning than H-110 or w 296. Others have been using...
This was an interesting thread to read. I have for some time been saying that NBTs were ballistic bombs in whitetail deer regardless of what caliber they were.
I got caught up in the BT craze shortly after they came out. I started using them myself and loading them for my family for use on...
Ditto on Jeff Bartlet. He's a nice guy to talk to and has great powders. He must have connections from all over the world as far as bulk powders go. If you get 6 jugs of his powder he charges no haz-mat fee. 4 jugs, he will only charge a 5$ fee.
I tried a powder he had called NM-04,($40.00/5 lb...
