I had a Taurus model 85 titanium and traded it in for a S&W 642. The Taurus cylinder became sloppy with use and the gun just didn't feel well built. I was happy to trade it off. I have heard the older ones are better built than the ones of today.

I may be missing something here, but according to the chart Michigan currently has no state land. Much of Michigan's public land is National Forest lands, however I actively hunt many state game areas. Are these state game areas actually federal owned land?

I hope you like it. I just picked up a Howa 308 hogue combo, but have yet to break it in. I'm looking to change scope and mounts on it soon. Let me know if you find a load yours seems to prefer.

I agree with what you are saying, however didn't the BLM already check it out and find no violation at that point in construction? This could just as easily end up that folks were guilty of trespassing unknowingly or not. The Wilks may be erecting the fence out of spite, or a fence was planned...
Nice write up. Although in the long run you could have paid more up front and achieved the accuracy you did there is something rewarding about DIY projects when it comes to hunting gear.
