Fellow Hunt Talkers -
I recently updated my blog here with a letter I sent to my family and friends recently, if you are interested. It has some pictures of Mosul and a description of the absolute destruction there...
I am a board member in the Southeast Chapter. Send me a PM and I will be happy to give you some advice from our experience and put you in contact with the rest of the board. We are having a retreat this weekend, and I am sure the good idea fairy will be alive and well in those meetings.
I hunted it last year - verizon service provider. Zero service after we started getting off the main roads, and none in the mountains.
Next trip, we wil have a satellite phone of some sort.

Southern Elk - my brother is a MS member as well, but not interested in a leadership position. We are looking for someone that can shepherd the MS section, if you or one of your cohorts may be interested.

The hind quarter was just under eight lbs, and I brined...
Headed out on the 19th, long drive from AL. I think I have everything set to go....sealed the seams and tested the stove on my Cimerran tent this weekend. Meals from Heather's Choice....now just need to pack everything up and make sure it all fits.
Second the Redbreast 12. If you can get it, the Redbreast 15 is a great one as well...has the taste of the 12 with the creamy mouth-feel of the 21 year old version.
I am also a fan of the Greenspot.
