Drew an Elk MZ tag... now what?
First off congratulations on that tag. Second getting your hands on a CVA Blackhorn 209 breechplug is a success in and by itself. Leupold VX-3i or VX-5HD, which one?
Both are nice. I went with the VX-5HD. Couldn’t ask for any better performance from a scope. The windplex reticle is what I decided on and really like it. Do-it-all freezer filling rifle
Gotta love the Tikka T3’s, well built and accurate. .308 or 270 is a good choice given your recoil wishes. My T3 is sub 1/2 min at 100 yards but its a 300 WinMag. Pretty much over kill for stuff smaller than elk but it is my elk gun! Not a believer in one and done. Fill the safe then buy another... -

InReach or Zoleo?
I like the garmin InReach better. You can find them on sale once in awhile or buy with REI 10% back. Archery hunted remote Alaska back in 1989 no GPS or cell phones, just common sense, a bow & pistol. Rather be safe than sorry hence the pistol.- rmagnus

Calling all coffee snobs...
Life’s too short for cheap coffee (& TP). I now use a Firebox Nano, grinder and a coffee press. Dunkin Donuts cinnamon coffee whole bean freshly ground and I’m good to go.- rmagnus
