Wisker buscuit will always contact the vane and leve marks on the vanes and will eventually tear regardless of release type. I think your bow is wrong for your style of shooting.
You can’t torque tune with the integrated rest. So more money less adjustability. I think someone in marketing got paid. Are people really having rests work themselves loose? I never thought this was a problem worth solving.
Gifting meat, only to find out they fed all of it to the dog. Worst is when they tell you they fed it to the dog and that “Fido loved it. You got any more?”
The hamskea has more going on with it that lends itself to being more accurate due to the arrow riding the rest slightly longer than other rests (e.g., QAD). But I have shot with a lot of people who had their hamskeas cord slip and the timing go out of wack resulting in the big misses and asking...
That rest doesn’t really function based on timing. It either drops or it doesn’t. Don’t shoot @#)(# vane down. Or try it and see if you put an arrow in the dirt. The compromise, and I doubt any others would object, is to put that @#)(# vane at 1 o clock.
I used to have a diamond, and I piled up some deer in the PA woods for a few years with that bow, but it had its limitations. To be completely honest, the diamonds are cheap big box store bows that work, but they will not be winning league night or 3D even with a lot of practice. The string...
I have the SLCs in 10x and 15x. The 15x are standard tripod glassing for deer hunting in Arizona. My 10x go with me everywhere. Some folks I bumped into in January out in the desert who were using the razors just about crapped themselves when they looked through my 15x SLCs. I actually think...
Second knuckle on the index finger release is likely going to be tighter than the hinge allowing a smidge more draw. A flat relaxed hand with the hinge can make you feel like the draw length is too long. “Others” may not have set their index finger release as short as you do and might be the...
If I use mechanical, I use the NAP Killzone Crossbow head with my vertical compound bow. They fly better and have thicker blades than the regular killzone broadheads (Shorter ferrules). Every animal I've shot has died with these. Big blood trails every time. Down sides: expensive, and for the...
Prostitution is legal in parts of Nevada but not on the Federal level...Do a lot of people care? Weed is legal in some States... cool and good for them. So you can't drive a school buss and test positive for weed (that's a good thing). Not sure what OP is getting at.
If your not going to shoot out past 50 yards you should be fine. Them pin gaps and knowing your yardage becomes very important with any setup but even more so at those speeds at distance. But if your stacking arrows at 50 and 60, going lighter/faster may make up for a lapsed judgement in...
What kind of speed are you getting now with your setup? 25 grains might not yield that much more speed. It might not be worth the squeeze, especially if your gear is dialed in now.
Similar story as op. I’ve got a handed down wood master 742 in 30-06. I’ve taken some deer with it but I’ve retired mine (not the most accurate rifle ever created). I ended up with a tikka on sale with a vortex $350 scope. If I just wanted to hunt pa, I might have looked for an old marlin 30-30.
Aesop Fables has a good amount of "predator control" stories. My little girl loves hearing the wolf stories; both the ones where the wolf is getting killed and the ones where the wolf is doing the killing.
I wouldn’t draw and let down in the name of exercise and building strength. That compound bow has a mechanical advantage that is unlike a recurve or even regular weights for lifting. You let down and your muscles and form are not ready for the let down, you can definitely find yourself sitting...
