We don’t get many snows here but I saw a field of snows a few days ago. Couldn’t get permisison on the field but went back to watch them last night. There was a small pond between the roost and the field that they were hitting or passing over at least. After work setup maybe 2 dozen socks along the pond and hid in a willow bush. A few decoyed, some passed over the decoys low and some it was just pass shooting but at then end of the day 17 snows were in the dirt. Not many ways better to spend an evening after work

A good snow goose hunt will always be the most tasty bird hunt.
This batch of snows resulted in 14 pounds of breast meat. Going to add in 6-7 pounds of elk and some pork fat and make a batch of smokies. Should have saved a couple to pluck as they were so fat
