    Spotting Scope Recommendations

I have the Leupold Sx-2 alpine with the 80mm. I’ve been really happy with it so far. Last November I was glassing up some Muleys right at dusk and still had pretty good clarity.

    Bucket list

My list changes fairly frequently, but as of now. #1: Alaskan Moose #2: Rocky Mountain Bighorn #3: Inland Grizzly bear No need to put the giant bull elk of my dreams on this list because I plan on killing him this year

    What won't you hunt?

Pigs, couldn’t tell you why but they just don’t do it for me. I’d go with others for the adventure but I could care less if I pulled the trigger on one.

    Best Bear Taxidermist in MT

Hey guys, just checking back in. Just got my bear back from Chad Steward in Helena! I’d say he did a wonderful job. He was very quick, I dropped it off last September. Reasonable in price and top tier quality. I’ll be bringing more critter back to him in the future!

Bear Skull Cleaning - Keeping the teeth as is

Depends largely on how much meat you leave on when macerating. I’ve seen it take close to a month to be bare bone. Degreasing can vary from bear to bear but usually if done right will take 6-8 months.

    Who ready for bear season?

Just started planning a spring bear trip with one of my buddies for early May! Looking forward to being out while the mountains come back to life.

Mb650 too large for bobcats? Beginner trapping questions?

Hey all, I live in SW Montana and didn’t get to grow up with the luxury of knowing anyone who trapped and I want to learn. I worked with a guy who told me Mb-650s were his preferred choice of footholds when he trapped years back in NE Montana. I ordered a few and they just seem to be a bit...
