This video could have been an hour long and Dick could have shown many little tricks and short cuts. Main points:

1) Get it off the deer before the hide slips/spoils
2) Leave more than you think the taxidermist might need
3) Be careful around the eyes and tear ducts
4) Start from the nose up to the back of the mouth and then work it from the back of the head forward
5) Leave the task of extract ear cartilage and splitting of the lips for your taxidermist to finish.

Lots of different ways to do this. Hopefully Dick's method, the one he uses for his taxidermy work, is one you find easy to follow and easy to use.
