Not Virginia anymore!
Here's a few pictures and videos from a bull that woke me up while camping/working on the river. My crew and I were camped on this island for two nights and I had no idea there were any elk in the area. I was still half asleep when I thought I heard a bugle, but I figured I was just dreaming until he ripped off another one. I looked out the tent and he was only 50-60 yards away. Got to watch him with his cows for about 10 minutes before one of my technicians woke and screamed "What is that?" I was using a cruddy handheld camera, so the pictures and videos aren't that good. He's one of the more impressive bulls I've seen in my short time out here. Unfortunately, there's virtually no public land in this area, so I didn't bother trying to draw a tag this year to see if he was still around.

Now that is amazing! Great pics regardless thecamera's ability!
Thanks for sharing. That would make my day seeing something like that...

They just seem to have a 6th sense knowing you can't shoot them....other than with a video camera :)

Great pics and live shots.I'm just as happy to watch that cool bull enjoying himself than stretched over a form,.....not to say i wouldn't like a crack at him.Very cool, its what makes Montana a great place.
