We beat the odds and 5 of us drew CO first rifle bull tags. We will be likely hunting in a group of 3, and group of 2. Group of 3 will be spike camping for at least 2 nights.

We all agree the meat from our initial bull tags, if filled, will be divided evenly regardless of who happens to help pack the animal out.

Is it worth trying for leftover cow tag in 5 day season with 5 bulls to try to fill? Not everyone is up for the extra $

Depends on how bad y'all want the meat. If you are really looking to fill some freezers, then it might not hurt to have a couple extra cow tags, but iff the bulls are more important...save the money. Chances are, f you find a herd, you might be able to drop a cow at the same time as a bull.
