Headed back to MI today, had a great time. John and SFC B are still in camp making memories. They should be posting their stories in the next few days.

We had a 50% success rate of everyone in camp. It will likely go up in the next few days as the rest of the group continues to hunt.

As I wrap up this event that got dreamed up 11 months ago, I am left pondering next year. There has been a lot of interest in next year from other Vets. Unfortunately, I won’t be coordinating another one for 2021. I would encourage others to take their turn to set something up. I will gladly help guide you thru the logistics of it if you decided you wanted to give it a shot.

CPO and I are back in CO at his house tonight and bushed!! We will both be processing meat tomorrow Only my phone here so I'll get to typing tomorrow when I get to my computer.

Anyone wondering the buck unofficially scores 154.25”. The Biologists thinks he was older and on his way down hill. His face was all scarred up and he even had a hole in his Lower jaw hide. It was a old injury and his jaw bone was showing when you looked under the loose leather flap.

Happy wife! Got two thumbs up from her. All Tenderloins, blackstraps, roasts, 87lbs elk burger, 34lbs mule deer, 36lbs of antelope snack sticks, and 12lbs of mule deer snack sticks.

Even fit in 4 beef briskets and some homemade cider. Going to make it hard to go white tail hunting in a few weeks.

Good news for this fella, he is safe at home.

Seems he jumped out of the truck and his owners didn’t know till they got home. Good thing they got him chipped, the Vet gave him a clean bill of health and the owners a much wanted call.

Finished up the last projects of the hunt this week. Got some packages off in the mail to the tag donors and got the mule deer rack fixed. The guy who boiled it burnt one main beam. Plus I stripped the rest of the velvet off and stained it to match.



There was quite a few attempts at blending it in, finally had to say it was good enough to go up.
