I have a general tag for Wy and have hunted in the wilderness of 67 with a resident a few years ago. I may be hunting without the resident this year and due to the discriminatory outfitter requirement for non residents I need to find a new area. I will be hunting off of horse back and am willing to pack in if necessary. I was looking at the area North and South of the Long Creek/Dunoir trail head. If anybody has hunted this area or has info on it like elk numbers, hunting pressure and terrain type, that would be great.

Thanks, Kelly

My family has hunted area 67 and 68 for almost 20 years. If I was you I would hunt up east fork East of Wiggins fork.
Castle Rock, Diamond Ridge, alkali basin, bear Creek, mt.Kent. We have killed a lot of elk up there. Most of that isn't wilderness so no need for guide.
