Are a shit show !
I had three instances where people had weapons and threatened me for using a private road to access BML and State land .
Some of the land owners were cool , just don’t block the road .
But most were assholes and trying to give me their best Rip impression.
Is this the norm or something new ?

Trespassing is Trespassing. Doesn't matter if you are hunting their land or not. If you crossed their land then you are trespassing.
I live here and dont own land. I deal with the crappy access at times but I dont trespass.

The people who were the worst owned maybe 200 feet of the road as it passed their property, open range , cattle gates .
I wasn’t hunting their property, just using the road to access BLM .
So, just to clarify, that is still trespassing. And therefore the answer to my question would be "yes". You're mad that people got mad that you were trespassing.

And, yes, a private road/drive can go through public land in WY. Sometimes it makes sense, and sometimes it doesn’t

If it's a county road, you're fine. We have a county road that goes through our ranch. We have it posted accordingly - stay on road next 2 miles. You'd be surprised how many people pull off the road and even kill animals (had two guys kill an antelope and mule deer buck while clearly on our ranch).

We have private roads in our ranch and every season we have guys driving around in the middle of the ranch thinking they are on public and can access whatever they want.

It’s not always clear. Especially when it’s a private road through public lands and the road isn’t posted. Some private roads are heavily traveled for all kinds of purposes but the minute a hunter uses it they have a problem. It’s kinda crappy situation.
I’m not advocating trespassing so don’t jump on me.

Unit 108 in Wyoming is classic. Even if it says it’s state land, it does not necessarily mean you can drive down the road. However, if you’re the leaseholder of the state land, you very well can drive down this road. Pay attention when it said Road closed, that only applies to the public.
I know of a property owner right now. That is telling everybody one time, if you drive past the road close sign, they will probably give you a warning, if they catch you twice or you give them shit when they try and tell you you can’t drive on this area then they will turn you in and you’ll be given a ticket.
