Wyoming Elk Unit 111 Cow Tag

Hello all,

I'm looking to pick up a leftover cow tag (111-7). The limitation on the tag states "Cow or calf valid off the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission's Morgan Creek Wildlife Habitat Management Area". Does that mean I have to be in the MCWHMA or out of the boundaries to hunt? I've left a couple messages with DOW employees in the area and have yet to get a call back yet so I wanted to post the question here. Also, anybody with experience in the area that could tell me I'm wasting my time?

Most people drive around the foothills by the highway on the west or by the Miracle Mile with that tag. I have never done it but I have heard that some of the ranchers will allow access towards the end of the season.

Yes It means you can not hunt the WHMA but everywhere else in the unit.
