Wyoming Bighorn sheep

Hey everyone, just curious if anyone has ever hunted Wyoming area 22 for bighorn sheep? I have heard that when area 22 closes that you can hunt area 5. I am looking to hunt on my own, didn't know if anyone has hunted these units and how the sheep numbers were. Thanks.

Any info on area 5 would be appreciated as well.

Area 22 does not close. If you draw 22 you can hunt Unit 5 after Oct 1.

Area 5 is the most sought after sheep tag, if you draw there will probably be plenty of advice

So are you holding a #5 tag or just dreaming for the future?? I hunted it a few years ago, stunning country and gorgeous sheep, about as good as you are likely to get in WY, especially in a unit that has considerable NR DIY potential.

squirrel, I will have 20 points for next years draw. I had heard that area 5 not only holds good numbers of rams but has a good size area that is not wilderness for a NR DIY.
