Hello everyone, after a couple of successful Wyoming antelope hunts I'm thinking of trying a deer hunt next. A friend and I are thinking of putting in for w this year. Not trophy hunting, just looking for a good time camping and hunting in open country/foothill setting. How is the diy hunting in this are? We are fit & willing to walk, no atv's. Looking to get off the road a bit & camp on blm. Anyone care to share stories of hunts in the area?

I can't speak for the other two units in W but as far as 82 goes you'll have a hard time getting away from people or roads. Pm me if you'd like any more info on 82.

I've never hunted W but always been interested in it. I've seen private fields chock full of deer in the Baggs area, have no idea how many stray over to the public side of the fence.
