I would like them to prove it. Lets see the projects and wage increases with ACTUAL math instead of just treating a public resource like a commodity and milking the non-residents for more money. Should be simple to explain since they knew that they "need to be ready" to cover those expenses.

By "we", he means the NRs... The term "we" would include himself and the people he's talking to. The term he should have used was "they" being the NRs...

"We" works if resident tags were being increased as well.

WY makes $22M-$23M a year off NR applying for preference points for elk, deer, and pronghorn ONLY.

Once you add in actual tag sales...
Elk: ~$9M
Deer: ~12.3M
Pronghorn: ~$15.9M

So $60M in NR revenue just from tag & point sales...

WY wouldn't have any money to operate if they weren't selling NR tags and points. Usually, you'd want to support your biggest donor, not try and screw them!

Only ~$15M comes from resident hunter tag sales for elk, deer, and pronghorn.

No different than most western states, although WY has a higher % of NR license revenue at roughly 77%, because their population is so low.

They also have the smallest resident population. I won't complain with these fees (too much) for the opportunity they are providing for me. They should be looking out for their residents. It shouldn't cost a lot for a resident to go hunting in their home state.

Moose got to be too much for me, though, with the reduced percentage of tags going to NR and unrealistic ability to ever draw a tag. I don't blame them, but the potential benefit no longer outweighed the cost at the point level I was at.

Holy hell some people just love to complain. It is what it is. Either pay it or move on. Complaining about how they're 'sticking it to you' accomplishes nothing. If it pisses you off that bad, move there
