WY guaranteed landowner tags

I guess I missed when WY landowner tags became transferable to paying hunters. When did that happen?

False advertising/shorthand description of a leftover tag is the most likely explanation imo.

Treecarps right - im sure a lot of it was meant to absorb some of the panic buyers who drew nothing else and are briskly searching google/bookface for "landowner tag"

There are almost 500 tags available in this area.

In this case, the cost is independent of the scarcity of opportunity (ie tags are not the rate-limiting factor, access to private land is).

Probably just a generic template they use for every other state they try to pimp hunts for.

The thought is that they're not actually landowner tags but rather left over private land only tags, and they are just calling them "landowner " tags because it sounds good to clients willing to pay that much, or just using generic language from other adds. Guessing they don't usually sell out.

Leftover, landowner tag, NR OTC, or the Rack Daniel special.

Most guided pronghorn hunts these days are 3500 or 3750. Add a couple preference points and a tag and you are in the ballpark of what they are charging. Not saying its worth it. Or I would pay it. But to someone it is.

That’s not how it works in Wyoming.

This is not actually a transferable landowner tag- they do not have them. This is a leftover tag you can go buy right now on the WGFD website.
