Applications dropped like 32%, tags dropped 21%. I hope tags level off and applications continue to drop.

Maybe they shouldn't keep trying to price their cash cow (NRs) out of the game. They're trying, and it's working.

Look at the WY elk population over the past 5 years.

Then look at the tags available to the NR hunter. Just steadily dropping.

It's possible that if they raise the application fee to $75 for NR that some hunters might not try for that low odds random but just keep accumulating points.
High price application fees are bad. They are just milking money from unsuccessful applicants. Raise the tag price. At least you're going hunting with a high price tag.
