So I finally put in my deer app for this year and I better draw because I have spent over $2000 on new equipment and my wife says, you better go hunting with all that stuff ! Wish me luck

I have a pretty good plan, well I think I do, hunting alone this year due to HT buddies can't go. I'm sure that means I will see a few 200 inchers....

LOL. I couldn't believe it when I convinced my wife to spend $800 on a hunting dog, and was even more surprised when she didn't balk at spending $850 on a Garmin GPS collar.

The next year she booked a trip to Hawaii over Christmas break.

That is the key. Plan a trip for immediately after the season somewhere they want to go. I think it helps them deal with 3 straight months of hunting ..and it gives them something to look forward to as well...

Good luck! This will be the first time in 4 years I don't hunt Wyoming. Can't wait to get back there, but I'm broadening my horizons a little bit.
