This year I was fortunate enough to draw deer tags in Wyoming and Montana. I was originally planning to hunt in October but was forced to change to November, which I think turned out to be a good move as I could hunt the rut. I flew into Bozeman and headed down to Meeteetse. Second day hunting I had a whitetail that I was very happy with. After dropping off the head and skin for a euro mount and tanning I headed up to Montana for a mule deer hunt. Had my mulie within a few days of hunting days thanks to some amazing help from a hunttalker. Was a very cool hunt and enjoyed the walk in / pack out for a few miles. Spent the rest of my time scouting and even shooting a coyote which I am having tanned and the skull cleaned. Also did a quick visit to Yellowstone and watched wolves hunting elk and sheep, not people’s favourite topic I’m sure but cool watching predators at work.
