Woodcocks!

Found some woodcocks in East Texas last weekend. Shot the first one and let the other 6 fly. It was nice to be able to find some birds close to the house and not have to drive 250 miles to hunt.

Bogsuckers! They have sad eyes. I love those little creatures. And they are delicious. One of the guys in our grouse camp makes an asian woodcock dish that is out of this world. And to think that some people won't eat them.
