When I finally got my first wood duck, it was naturally headed straight to the taxidermist. I discussed how I wanted the mount and when it was completed last week the taxidermist called to let me know it was ready to pickup. However, he was hoping to take it to a show/contest in California if I was alright with that. I just got a text and the following pic from him. I'm really looking forward to getting this mount home now.

Wow, that is amazing work. Really beautifully done, and looks great with the other detail work.

The taxidermist is Leon Mathews at Avian Artistry in Kennewick, WA and I'm guessing he'll want to keep the ribbons. However, they'd look good next to my "participant ribbons" I've gotten due to my sport's prowess.

Sweet!!!! Looks awsome, do you guys not have alot of woodies out there? The taxi did a great job, I"ve always wanted a duck mount with the water look like that.
