I thought so too, but they weren't there. I spent 2 1/2 days looking for them and couldn't come up with any this trip. Ah well, the deer hunting and fishing was still fantastic.

Trout fishing good in that area? Had to go to Moorefield for work once, looked like a good area for trout fishing and have thought about going back for fun ever since. I hoped to make it to Dolly Sods on that trip but wasn't able to come up with enough off time.

I think the fishing is good. I usually go in June, after the stocking has ended, and head for the catch and release section. The road along a 16 mile section of the river is gated. The wilderness boundary goes right to the road. If you get up this way again, get hold of me and I will share what little I know.
