Why I love labs

I lost my Yellow dog in Dec after 11 years. One of the hardest things I ever had to do. I honestly dont think my heart is ready for another, but these posts sure has me wanting another soon.
I had to put my 12 yr old Black male lab down before and my 10 yr old Chocolate female lab down. Gets harder and harder. I didn't want another but my wife did. Now I couldn't imagine not having our Yellow male now.

I cried more when I put my Lab down than I did for most people when they died. They're a lot more loyal

I might be biased but not much cuter than a lab puppy, new girl arrived to our home in April. The puppy and our almost 10 year old are good buds now but the old girl needed a couple weeks to adjust.

My Otis passed in 2020. I can’t even get myself to get a new puppy yet. My daughter still has this picture of him in her room. From a young punk bachelor, college, marriage, 2 kids, my sons first hunt, my grandpas last hunt, he was there for it all.

The best there ever was, the best there ever will be.
